The lack of access to affordable menstrual hygiene products significantly impacts women and girls across under served communites and emerging markets, resulting in missed schooling and employment opportunities. As a result, poor menstrual hygiene and an increase the risk of infections.

The initiative leverages the abundant availability of these materials in tropical and subtropical regions to create eco-friendly hygiene products that avoid environmental pollution, are affordable and promote sustainable alternatives to conventional hygiene products. In addition, local manufacturing creates new economic opportunities and employment for farmers and local communities.
